The year 2025 has once again confirmed the global power of major football clubs, not only in sporting results but also in marketing, and this is demonstrated by the sales of jerseys for this year.
According to the latest data published by The Sun , for jersey sales, Real Madrid is at the top of the list, having sold around 3,133,000 jerseys during 2025.
In second place is their eternal rival, Barcelona with 2,940,000 shirts sold, while Paris Saint-Germain completes the podium with 2,546,000 shirts sold over the past year. The dominance of these clubs once again confirms their global influence and large fan base around the world.
Real Madrid tops the sales list ahead of Barcelona
They are followed by German giants Bayern Munich with 2,377,000 shirts sold, while in fifth place is a surprise Inter Miami with 2,166,000 shirts. The MLS club has experienced a tremendous increase in sales, largely thanks to the global influence of superstar Lionel Messi.
Argentine giants Boca Juniors also rounded out the top six with 1,933,000 shirts sold. Meanwhile, Manchester United continues to remain one of the strongest brands in world football, recording 1,855,000 shirts sold during 2025.
The list continues with Brazilian club Flamengo in eighth place with 1,677,000, while in ninth place is Chelsea with 1,422,000 shirts sold.
The top 10 is closed by Saudi giant Al-Nassr with 1,281,000 shirts, a club that has become globally known after the transfer of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
One of the most interesting comparisons on the list is between the two icons of modern football. Messi’s club, Inter Miami, has sold 2,166,000 shirts, which is significantly more than the 1,281,000 shirts sold by Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
The difference is around 885,000 shirts, which shows the extraordinary commercial impact that Messi has had on the American and global market.
However, the presence of the two clubs on this list proves that the historic rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo continues to be reflected off the field of play, directly influencing the billion-dollar football marketing industry.
Messi’s Inter Miami eclipses Ronaldo’s Al Nassr
Another surprise is that of Italian clubs, none of which are in the top 10, while other big clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal have not managed to find themselves among the clubs that sell the most shirts.
