Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovačić could be on the move this summer, amid concrete interest from the Middle East.
According to The Sun, several clubs from the Saudi Pro League have submitted offers for the 31-year-old, tempting him with lucrative financial packages.
Preference to Stay in Europe
Despite the attractive proposals, Kovačić reportedly prefers to continue his career in Europe — even if he decides to leave Manchester City FC before his contract expires in 2027.
Interest has also emerged from Italy, with AC Milan and Juventus FC said to have held discussions with the player’s representatives.
Return to Serie A?
Kovačić is no stranger to Italian football, having previously played for Inter Milan, where he first rose to prominence on the international stage.
This season has been complicated for the Croatian international, who has struggled with p[hysical issues and has made only two appearances across all competitions for Manchester City.
Decision Awaits
It remains to be seen whether City will be willing to part ways with a player of significant international experience, or whether Kovačić will continue as part of the English champions’ project.
The coming weeks could prove decisive in determining the midfielder’s future.
