Hansi Flick Close To Break “Unbreakable” Record Set By Pep Guardiola

Barcelona continues its impressive form at home under Hansi Flick, closing in on a historic La Liga record held by Pep Guardiola.

The Catalan team defeated Sevilla with a convincing 5-2 score in the match of the 28th week of the Spanish championship. This victory allowed Barcelona to extend their winning streak at home in the championship to 14 consecutive matches.

Under the German coach, the Blaugrana have been almost unstoppable in their stadium, dominating opponents and maintaining a high pace of results.

With this series, Flick has moved into second place for the 21st century in terms of consecutive home wins in La Liga, equaling the achievement recorded by Ernesto Valverde with Barcelona in 2019.

The absolute record still remains in the hands of Pep Guardiola. During the 2010/11 season, Barcelona led by the Catalan coach managed to win 15 consecutive home matches in La Liga, a figure that Flick is now only one step away from equaling.
