Spain or Morocco – Real Madrid Star Reveals His Decision

Young midfielder Thiago Pitarch is turning into one of the biggest revelations at the new Real Madrid led by Alvaro Arbeloa, drawing attention not only for his performances, but also for an important dilemma related to the national team.

The 18-year-old has taken control of the midfield at a delicate time for the club, giving the impression that he has been playing at the highest level for years. Despite only seven games in the elite, he has shown a unique style of play, while his market value has increased significantly – from 5 million euros to 20 million euros.

His case was discussed on the show “El Larguero” on Cadena SER, where journalist Hector González gave details on the player’s situation, both at Real Madrid and with the Spanish national team. Although many fans have only recently become aware of him, Pitarch has long been part of the young categories of “La Roja”.

However, the situation becomes interesting due to his origins – his paternal grandparents are from Morocco. This puts him in a similar situation to Brahim Díaz, who chose to represent Morocco after a lack of opportunities in Spain.

However, according to reports, this is not expected to be the case for Pitarch.

“Thiago’s grandparents are from Morocco and the Moroccan federation has shown interest in him, as happened with Brahim Diaz. But it is true that he participated with Spain in the U-20 World Cup.”

On the other hand, the show’s host, Manu Carreno, has emphasized that nothing is certain until a player receives an invitation from the A representative.

“We all know that nothing is certain until the invitation from the big national team comes. Until then, everything can change.”

However, people close to the player are convinced of his choice.

“You can rest assured, Thiago’s heart is with Spain. He is managing everything that is happening to him at Real Madrid very well, step by step, match by match, with his feet on the ground. As for the national team, the most natural step is to start with the U-21s.”

Even, according to Hector Gonzalez, if selector Luis de la Fuente were to invite him to the next list, Pitarch would not hesitate at all and would accept immediately.

“He wouldn’t think for a moment.”

The biggest dilemma remains: what would happen if Spain invited him for the U-21, while Morocco for the A team – especially with the World Cup approaching?
