Defender Riccardo Calafiori is expected to remain at Arsenal during the summer transfer window, despite growing interest from some of Italy’s biggest clubs.
The 23-year-old defender joined the London club in 2024 in a deal reportedly worth over £40 million.
Despite facing some injury problems, Calafiori has managed to record almost 60 appearances, offering great flexibility in the defensive department as he can play both on the left wing of the defense and as a center back.
Serie A giants Inter, Juventus, Milan and Napoli have been monitoring his situation in recent months. However, teamTALK reports that the player is fully committed to staying at the Emirates.
Manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta consider Calafiori an important part of the squad and have no plans to let him leave. Meanwhile, the player himself is said to be happy with his life and career in north London.
It remains to be seen how the situation will go in the summer, but Arsenal’s plan is expected to be the same to prevent key players from leaving.
