According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Bernardo Silva is expected to leave Manchester City in June, as there are currently no talks over a contract renewal.
Bernardo was named club captain by Pep Guardiola last summer following the departures of Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne, as part of a wider first-team shake-up led by director of football Hugo Viana.
Since joining from Monaco in 2017 for around €50m, Silva has been essential to City’s success, helping the club secure six Premier League titles and their first Champions League trophy.
He helped the team complete a historic treble, along with numerous domestic, European and global titles.
With his contract expiring, Silva is likely to attract interest from some of the top clubs across Europe, signaling the end of an extraordinary era at the Etihad Stadium.
