Joan Laporta Makes Serious Speculation Against Real Madrid

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reignited the fierce rivalry between the two giants of Spanish football, launching a scathing attack on Real Madrid after their dramatic 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo.

During a campaign event, the Blaugrana boss questioned the legitimacy of Los Blancos’ winning goal, suggesting that the capital club continues to benefit from favorable refereeing decisions and luck, while his team is treated with different standards.

The dispute relates to Federico Valverde’s late goal , which decided the outcome for Real Madrid on Friday.

Laporta insisted that the goal should have been disallowed for a foul in the build-up phase of the action, using it as an example of the preferential treatment that, according to him, the Madrid team has historically received from referees.

He did not spare criticism for the decisive moment of the match, stating that such a goal for Barcelona would have been immediately cancelled.

“It was historic luck for them, but this goal should have been disallowed for a previous foul. A foul would have been called against us; it already happened for us at Anoeta.”

“It’s always the same with Real Madrid. When they are in difficulty, they either get help from the referees, or something happens… They are given a piece of luck,” he declared.
