Man City Star Wants To Leave City And Join Barcelona

A Manchester City star is open to a surprise exit from the club after limited opportunities under Pep Guardiola, according to a recent report.

Manchester City spent €94 million during the winter transfer window to secure the transfers of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth and Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.

Both Semenyo and Guehi have played regularly since their arrival, with the striker scoring the winning goal against Leeds United on Saturday.

City won 1-0 at Elland Road without Erling Haaland, who was injured and missed the transfer.

Omar Marmoush replaced Haaland in the starting lineup, but failed to capitalize on the opportunity in the championship.

He struggled to get into the game during the first half and squandered several golden opportunities after the break, before being replaced by Savinho.

Marmoush’s opportunities have been limited under Guardiola, who has used him mainly as a substitute. His future has now been called into question, with pundit Ekrem Konur claiming the striker is considering his options for the future.

Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for €67m in January 2025.

However, his adventure at the Etihad could end just 18 months after his transfer to the Citizens. According to Konur, Marmoush is interested in a move to Barcelona in the summer.

The Catalan club are believed to be on the lookout for new strikers as they aim to find a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Marmoush, meanwhile, has scored 12 goals in 50 appearances for City in all competitions.
