Former Liverpool Winger Jordan Ibe Arrested Over Alleged Assault

Former Liverpool FC winger Jordon Ibe was arrested last month in connection with an alleged assault that reportedly took place in December 2025.

Ibe, who currently plays for FC Lokomotiv 1929 Sofia, has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on March 6.

Arrest at Luton Airport

The winger had returned to the United Kingdom from Bulgaria to attend a hearing in a separate matter, but his arrest was confirmed by police shortly after his arrival.

A police spokesperson stated:

“Jordon Ibe has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The charge relates to an alleged assault that took place on Sunday, December 14, 2025.”

The statement continued:

“He was arrested at Luton Airport on January 30 and taken into custody.”

Attempting to Rebuild His Career

Ibe joined Lokomotiv Sofia last November after leaving lower-league English side Sittingbourne F.C., as he sought to rebuild his career following difficult spells in England.

The recent developments now place the former Liverpool prospect in the midst of legal challenges, potentially impacting his focus on returning fully to football.
