Hungary head coach Marco Rossi has suggested that Liverpool may not be the final destination in Dominik Szoboszlai’s career.
In an interview with Winwin, Rossi revealed that the Hungarian midfielder has long dreamed of playing for Real Madrid.
“Because of the very close and direct relationship I’ve had with Dominik Szoboszlai since he started playing football as a child, Real Madrid has always been his dream.
Since he began playing, he has had only one dream: to play for Real Madrid.”
Rossi admitted he does not know whether that step will happen, as the decision depends both on the player and his current club.
Dream vs. Reality
“The idea you always have in mind is to fulfill your dream and make it real. From my perspective, that is the most important thing that can dominate Dominik’s mind.”
However, Rossi did not rule out the possibility of Szoboszlai staying at Liverpool and renewing his contract, especially given how highly he is valued at the club.
“He is a very important player for Liverpool, and Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
Liverpool Determined to Keep Him
Last summer, Liverpool saw Trent Alexander-Arnold move to Real Madrid, and there is speculation that Ibrahima Konate could also attract interest.
Szoboszlai’s current contract runs until 2028, and Liverpool are expected to do everything possible to secure his long-term future, as he has become one of the team’s most influential players this season.
