Real Madrid Extend Lead as Europe’s Top Penalty-Winning Club

Real Madrid CF have strengthened their position at the top of the list of Europe’s most productive clubs in winning penalties.

Their latest boost came on Saturday night, when they earned two more spot-kicks in a dominant league performance.

Convincing Win Over Real Sociedad

Madrid returned to action in the Spanish capital against Real Sociedad. After 90 minutes, the side coached by Álvaro Arbeloa secured an emphatic 4–1 victory, moving back ahead of FC Barcelona at the top of the La Liga standings.

Vinícius Decisive from the Spot

The hosts were awarded two penalties during the match, both won and converted by Vinícius Júnior.

With those two successful strikes, Real Madrid raised their total number of penalties won in the league this season to 13.

Clear Gap Across Europe

That figure places Madrid four penalties ahead of any other club across Europe’s top five leagues. German champions FC Bayern Munich currently sit second on the list with nine penalties won.

Real Madrid’s ability to consistently draw fouls inside the box has become a significant factor in their domestic dominance this season.
