Joshua Zirkzee’s adventure at Manchester United appears to be coming to a bitter end, as the Dutch striker has reportedly given the green light for a summer departure.
Having struggled to secure a regular place in the lineup under several different coaches, the former Bologna player is now said to be looking for an environment where he can regain his best form.
Hopes were high when Zirkzee arrived at Old Trafford from Bologna, but the dream quickly turned into a nightmare for the 24-year-old.
The striker has found it impossible to get regular Premier League minutes during 2026, playing just 28 minutes so far, with a place on the bench against Aston Villa serving as the culmination of the frustration.
With the relationship between the player and the club reaching a breaking point, Zirkzee’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, is already considering a summer transfer.
While the striker was previously reluctant to leave in January, rejecting interest from European clubs, his stance has now changed significantly. The focus is set on a return to Serie A, where the striker enjoyed the most productive period of his career.
Juventus are believed to be the leading candidates for his signature, considering the Dutchman a “low-cost option” if United are willing to negotiate.
The Bianconeri have long admired the player and could structure the deal initially as a loan with an option to buy.
With United’s valuation reportedly dropping towards the €25-30m mark, the Italian giants feel they have a real chance of doing a deal for a player who once set the Italian championship on fire.
