Hansi Flick Urges Barcelona to Move On After Heavy Atlético Defeat

FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has spoken openly about the team’s mindset following the heavy 4–0 defeat to Atlético Madrid, stressing that the squad must put the result behind them and focus on the next challenge.

Positive Response in Training

The German tactician highlighted the team’s strong reaction in training, insisting that the atmosphere within the group remains healthy and confident.

“The most important thing now is that today’s training session was good. The dynamism and sharpness were there, and so was the confidence. We also scored goals,” Flick stated.

He admitted that the loss to Atlético was a setback, but also described it as a valuable lesson.

“We lost Thursday’s match and it was a lesson for us, but we will move forward. We have to accept the defeat and focus on the game against Girona.”

Focus Shifts to Girona

Looking ahead to the upcoming clash with Girona FC, Flick warned of a well-structured and courageous opponent.

“We expect an organized opponent, well positioned, who will try to play bravely. Of course, it’s important for us to find more sharpness and dynamism compared to the last match,” he concluded.

Barcelona are now aiming for an immediate response to restore confidence and ensure that the defeat to Atlético does not derail their season momentum.
