Arda Guler refuses to shake Arbeloa’s hand after substitution

Real Madrid won 2-1 away at Celta Vigo in the match valid for the 27th round of La Liga.

Los Blancos took the lead in the 11th minute through a goal from Aurelien Tchouameni, and Borja Iglesias equalized in the 25th minute. That scoreline lasted until the 94th minute, when Federico Valverde scored from distance for a crucial win for Real.

Defending champions Barcelona are now top with just one point and one game in hand before their visit to Athletic Bilbao today at 9pm.

However, one of the most talked-about scenes of the match occurred in the 65th minute, when coach Alvaro Arbeloa sent off Arda Guler.

The young Turkish midfielder reacted in shock when he heard he had to leave and was clearly angry.

As he was leaving the field, he didn’t even greet the coach politely, which is common in such situations.

Arbeloa reached out and touched it, but Guler simply walked past him. He ran to the bench and, before sitting down, held his head in his hands in disbelief.
