Zinedine Zidane was undoubtedly one of Real Madrid’s greatest coaches, winning three consecutive Champions League titles, as well as the La Liga trophy.
When speaking in a recent interview, Zidane named five former Real Madrid players who left him speechless in training.
“It’s in training that you see the truly excellent players. I had this feeling when I was coach of Real Madrid,” Zidane initially said.
“I didn’t say anything. I saw Modric, Kroos, Cristiano and Benzema training. There was nothing to say except to look at them; they were all talented and professional.”
“You should have seen Ronaldo Nazario in training. He was amazing. Some players would stop playing just to watch him.”
“It was as beautiful as it was during a match,” the French coach concluded.
All five players named by Zidane won the Ballon d’Or, except Toni Kroos, who won six Champions League trophies.
