Paris Saint-Germain star Vitinha has praised Barcelona wizard Pedro, labelling the Spaniard as the best midfielder in the world at the moment.
Vitinha has shared his opinion on the best midfielders in current football. The Portuguese star singled out the Spanish Pedri at the top of the list, whom he said is “magical”, while also including his Portuguese national team teammates, Joao Neves and Bruno Fernandes, among the best.
According to Vitinha, these names, along with himself on the list, make up the group of midfielders who are currently making a difference in European football.
“I don’t like to say I’m the best midfielder, that’s arrogant, but I know I’m probably among the best,” Vitinha initially said.
“The midfielders I value the most and the best midfielders? I would put Pedro at the top of the list. He is magical; it is spectacular to watch him play. When you play against him, you understand it even better.”
“Then, in the top three, it’s a bit difficult for me. It’s difficult to choose just two. I would put Joao [Neves] and Bruno [Fernandes]. Both up there with me and Pedro.”
“So, I don’t have a better back three, I have a better back four,” the Portuguese midfielder concluded.
