Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for Uruguayan centre-back and club captain Ronald Araujo, with the Catalan club expected to consider proposals during the summer transfer window.
According to the latest information, current Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and English side Manchester United have already expressed interest in signing the defender. Meanwhile, Chelsea are also expected to join the race for the player’s services.
Barcelona value the 27-year-old at around €100m, while Transfermarkt values his transfer fee at around €25m. Araujo’s current contract with the Catalan club runs until 2031.
It is still unknown whether any of the European giants can pay this price as the Uruguayan’s recent performances have often disappointed, especially in the Champions League.
Araujo, meanwhile, would not refuse a move away from Camp Nou if the team asked him to, also due to his low playing time, meaning he is no longer an undisputed starter.
Initially, Araujo is interested in helping Barcelona eliminate Newcastle United in the Champions League to qualify for the quarter-finals.
