Paris Saint-Germain suffered a shock 3-1 defeat to managerless Rennes at Roazhon Park on Friday, their third Ligue 1 loss of the season.
Rennes, who recently sacked Habib Beye, were guided by reserve team boss Sebastien Tambouret to a stunning victory. Mousa Tamari opened the scoring in the 34th minute, cutting inside past Willian Pacho to fire into the bottom-left corner.
PSG’s Ousmane Dembele quickly halved the deficit in the 71st minute, marking his 50th goal and assist in Ligue 1, but Esteban Lepaul’s header in the 69th minute and Breel Embolo’s late finish sealed the win for Rennes, giving them their first league victory over PSG since January 3.

Despite the loss, PSG dominated expected goals (xG), creating 3.62 xG from 22 shots compared to Rennes’ 1.36 from 13, highlighting the efficiency of the hosts’ finishing.
With PSG slipping, Lens now has a chance to reclaim top spot when they face Paris FC on Saturday.
