Real Madrid is hoping to have one of the team’s important defenders available again for the next match against Manchester City in the Champions League.
We are talking about Alvaro Carreras, who was absent from Madrid’s last match against Celta Vigo, where Alvaro Arbeloa’s team triumphed 2-1.
The left-back was unavailable for this match due to a suspension, but even if he had been free to play, he would still have missed the match as he was dealing with a recent injury.
However, the latest news coming from the media close to the Madrid club is encouraging for “Los Blancos”.
According to journalist and Real Madrid insider Alvaro Esteban, Carreras has already started working on the field and is also undergoing the necessary physiotherapy treatments.
“Carreras has completed field work and physiotherapy. He is progressing satisfactorily. Tomorrow he will be able to join the group and be part of the team,” the club said in a statement.
If his recovery continues at this pace, Carreras is expected to be ready for the big match against Manchester City in the Champions League, which takes place on Wednesday.
