Social media is abuzz after Morocco won the Africa League of Nations title in unprecedented fashion, two months after losing the final to Senegal, and some of the jokes are truly brilliant.
Last night (Tuesday), the football world was shocked by the news that the title of African champion was taken away from the Senegal national team, even though it was achieved on the field, and the final against Morocco was recorded with the official score 3-0 for the Moroccans.
The reason is that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) supported Morocco’s appeal and awarded it the victory, after the Senegalese, unhappy with the referee’s decisions, briefly interrupted the final and left the field.
The referees made some outrageous decisions in favor of Morocco during the final, and the Senegalese returned to the field after that and won regularly.
