The striker will turn 30 in a few days and has been on the red and black club’s radar for several years, before his 17 million euro transfer from Stuttgart to Dortmund.
According to the report, the player is tempted to try a new experience in another league, having previously played in France and Germany.
Milan will not make another attempt for Jean-Philippe Mateta, while last summer’s target, Darwin Nunez, would like to return to Europe from Al-Hilal, but he is not considered a priority for the Italian club.
