Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti has reached an agreement in principle with the club to extend his contract, according to journalist Nicolo Schira.
The 66-year-old Italian coach could sign a new deal with the Italian club that will keep him in charge until 2028.
Spalletti is ready to extend his contract in the coming weeks, despite interest from two unnamed clubs outside Italy.
He took over at Juventus in October 2025 and currently has a contract until June 30, 2026.
The Bianconeri are currently ranked fifth in the Serie A table. This week, the team was eliminated from the Champions League after losing to Galatasaray (2-5, 3-2) in the play-off stage.
It was previously reported that Juventus are looking to extend Spalletti’s contract, while the signing of the deal could happen after the contract renewal with central midfielder Weston McKennie.
It remains to be seen how the situation will go with striker Edon Zhegrova, who seems not to be among Spalletti’s favorites, always based on the low minutes he is playing.
