If Mallorca is relegated from La Liga, Muriqi could return to Turkey

Vedat Muriqi is having an incredible season at Mallorca, scoring 16 goals, but his team is struggling at the bottom of La Liga.

Currently, Mallorca is in 18th place, which would send them to the second category if the position does not change by the end of the season.

However, the chances of Muriqi playing in the Segunda are slim, as the Spanish club will do everything to keep their star.

According to Turkish media, Fenerbahçe are closely monitoring the Kosovar striker’s situation. If Mallorca are relegated from La Liga, the path back to Istanbul would be open, removing any obstacles to a transfer.

If Mallorca remain in the Spanish top flight, Fenerbahçe are expected to try to convince Muriqi to return, exploiting his desire to play for the Turkish giants again. This strategy has been reported by major Turkish media outlets.

Fenerbahçe had pursued Muriqi during the January transfer window, but Mallorca refused to let the striker go.

Muriqi has an excellent history with Fenerbahçe, where in the 2019/2020 season he scored 15 goals and provided 5 assists in 32 championship matches.
