Rumors linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a transfer to Chelsea have been described as “fake news” by renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Recently, reports circulated in the media that the Portuguese star could be transferred to the London team, but Romano categorically denied these speculations.
“A lot of people have asked me in recent days. There have been some links in England, but that is completely untrue. There is absolutely nothing between Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
The Italian journalist even reacted humorously to these rumors, emphasizing that such a move would be highly unlikely.
According to him, Chelsea’s recent transfer policy is focused mainly on young players, usually teenagers or footballers in their early or mid-twenties.
For this reason, the idea of the London club transferring a 41-year-old player like Ronaldo does not fit with the current team-building strategy.
