Arsenal are expected to have an active summer transfer window, with plans to strengthen the midfield, right-back and wing-forward positions, according to reports from journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano, on his YouTube channel, revealed that while Mikel Arteta’s team is focused on winning this season, internal discussions about the transfer window have already begun.
“One thing I can guarantee is that Arsenal will be working on midfielders in the summer,” Romano said, adding that adding a new right-back could be a priority that is going a bit under the media radar.
The transfer expert stressed that “Arsenal are considering the possibility of acting not only in midfield, but also at right-back and winger. The club will be active in the summer, and the work behind the scenes has already begun.”
The recruitment strategy comes after major investments last summer and efforts to build depth in the squad, with the aim of challenging for the title for a long period.
The ‘North Londoners’ currently lead the Premier League and are still active in several competitions, but Arteta seems determined to make reinforcements that will keep the team in top form next season.
