Real Madrid coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, has spoken about Real Madrid midfielder, Fede Valverde, revealing part of the conversation he had with him before the match against Benfica.
Arbeloa spoke in appreciative tones about the captain’s role and influence on the team.
“I told him I want Ancelotti’s goals and assists too. Why not ask for everything? Fede has shown me his level since the day I arrived. He knows how important he is to me as a player.”
“He is the captain, practically an extension of me on the pitch, one of the leaders of the team and represents in the best way what a Real Madrid player should be.”
“I am very happy and proud of the level he is showing, the way he is playing and his dedication. Even when he has physical concerns, he doesn’t want to stop, he wants to continue and play.”
Valverde continues to be one of the key figures of the Madrid team, demonstrating leadership, consistency and professionalism in every one of his appearances.
